Services

A full range of bookkeeping and tax services, customized for your business.

Twenty-five services in all, covering bookkeeping and financial operations for businesses across Canada and the United States, and tax and GST/HST filing for Canadian businesses. Every package is built from the ones you actually need, nothing bundled in that you didn't ask for. If what you need isn't on this page, it is almost certainly still something our team can do.

Core services

Bookkeeping

Bank and credit card reconciliation, transaction coding, and a full set of monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet) every month. Available for businesses in Canada and the United States.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Vendor bills entered and prepared for your approval, customer invoices issued on schedule, and aging reviewed every month so overdue receivables get chased while they're still collectible. Available in Canada and the United States.

Payroll

Canada only

Payroll run on your cycle, source deductions calculated and remitted on your assigned schedule, and T4s, the T4 Summary and Records of Employment prepared from books that already agree. Canadian businesses only.

Payroll Bookkeeping

Canada and US

Wages, deductions and employer cost recorded from the payroll you already run on your own platform, with the payroll clearing account reconciled to the bank every month and the payroll on your statements agreeing with what actually left it. This is bookkeeping only. We are not your payroll provider, and we do not file payroll returns anywhere in the United States.

Receipt & Invoice Organizing

Every receipt and vendor invoice captured, matched to the transaction it belongs to, and filed somewhere organized and searchable: so a question about a two-year-old expense takes an afternoon rather than three weeks. An add-on, priced by document volume.

Catch-Up Bookkeeping

Overdue or messy books, sorted. Whether it's a few months behind or a full year, we reconcile the backlog transaction by transaction and get your books current and accurate, quoted after a quick look at what's outstanding.

Financial Reporting

Beyond the standard income statement and balance sheet included with bookkeeping: custom KPI dashboards, cash flow reporting, and reporting built around the specific numbers that matter to how you run your business.

GST/HST Filing

Canada only

GST/HST returns prepared from reconciled books and filed on the reporting period CRA assigned you, with input tax credits identified transaction by transaction rather than reconstructed the week it's due. Canadian businesses only.

Tax

Canada only

Personal and corporate tax filing, sized to your complexity and priced separately from bookkeeping. This service is available to Canadian businesses only, we do not currently offer tax filing to US clients.

Budgeting & High-Level Analysis

A budget built line by line from your own financial history, paired with the high-level analysis that narrows in on what is actually driving your results, which products, which clients, which costs, which months. Most owners can name their revenue. Far fewer can name the three things moving it.

By industry

Real estate is our specialty, realtors, brokerages, and property managers, from a team that works the brokerage side of it every day. Alongside it, the same bookkeeping built around what a particular business has to get right: each of these is here because it has a mechanic that generic bookkeeping handles badly.

Real Estate Brokerage Accounting

Our specialty. Bookkeeping built for how real estate actually pays: commission recorded gross with every split visible, trust and deposit money kept properly separate, per-property reporting for managers and landlords, and commission invoices that arrive complete and on time.

Property Management Accounting

Property management accounting for managers, landlords and owners of multiple doors. Every property carries its own income and expenses, every owner gets a statement that reconciles to the bank, and trust money: rents, damage deposits, reserve funds, stays separate from operating cash, which is the single thing generic bookkeeping gets wrong most often.

Bookkeeping for Contractors and Trades

Books built around the job rather than the month: every cost coded to the job that incurred it, customer deposits carried as a liability until the work is done, progress billing tied to what was actually billed, and holdbacks tracked as money earned but not yet collectible.

Bookkeeping for Dental Practices

Books built around how a dental practice actually earns: production reconciled to collections, insurance receivables carried where they can be seen, associate and hygienist splits recorded so every share is visible, and lab costs matched to the case that caused them.

Bookkeeping for Restaurants and Food Service

Daily sales recorded from the point of sale and reconciled to what actually landed, merchant fees shown as a cost rather than netted away, tips carried as money held for staff, gift cards carried as a liability until they are redeemed, and food cost calculated against what was actually bought.

Bookkeeping for Allied Health Practices

For physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage, optometry and dental hygiene practices: associate splits recorded so every share is visible, receivable ownership settled rather than assumed, and, in Canada, exempt and taxable revenue tracked separately because that split governs what can be recovered.

Bookkeeping for Retail and Personal Services

For shops, cafes, barbershops, salons, convenience stores and gyms: the rent your statements show against the rent you actually paid, card settlement reconciled to the deposit, cash handled properly, and memberships carried as a liability until they are earned.

Specialist & custom work

Commercial support that goes beyond the ledger, the account structure a Canadian corporate return is filed from, and one-off work scoped to whatever you actually need.

Vendor Management & Contract Review

The commercial side of what your books already show: which vendors you're genuinely spending with, when the contracts renew, where terms have drifted, and what a renegotiation is realistically worth. Commercial support, not legal advice.

Chart of Accounts & GIFI Mapping

Canada only

Your chart of accounts built or remapped against CRA's General Index of Financial Information, so the figures on your corporate return come straight out of your books without anybody reclassifying them first. A one-time project.

Custom & Ad-Hoc Work

Scoped one-off and recurring work that doesn't fit a standard package, software migrations, lender and investor packages, a second opinion on existing work, or a report built from scratch. Quoted before anything starts.

Fractional Controller

Senior finance attention for a business too big for bookkeeping alone and too small to employ a controller at a six-figure salary. Budgeting and forecasting, the analysis that turns statements into decisions, and the systems and process the numbers come out of. Available whether or not we do your bookkeeping.

Outsourced Bookkeeping vs Hiring In-House

The honest comparison between hiring a bookkeeper and outsourcing the work: what a salary actually costs once the employer side is added, how long it takes before somebody new is useful on unfamiliar books, who checks the work, and the cases where hiring is genuinely the better answer.

How it starts

From first conversation to books that close on schedule.

No lengthy sales process, and nothing is priced before we have seen the file.

  1. 01

    Free consultation

Twenty minutes to understand your business, your transaction volume, and what's actually going wrong with the current setup.

  2. 02

    Books review

We look at your existing file before quoting anything, so the quote and any cleanup are based on reality rather than an estimate.

  3. 03

    Scoped proposal

A written scope covering your monthly fee, any add-ons, and any catch-up work: priced before work begins, not after.

  4. 04

    Setup

Chart of accounts reviewed, bank feeds connected, and your opening position agreed.

  5. 05

    Monthly rhythm

Statements land, and anything unusual gets flagged rather than buried. Your books close every month, not just at tax time.

Not sure which services you need?

A free consultation sorts out exactly what fits, no obligation.
